On 5 October70 countries and 20 international organizations and agencies will meet
in Brussels to discuss opportunitiesto signal sustained political and financial support
to the Afghan peace process, state-building and development.The Afghan government
will present its Afghanistan National Peace and Development Framework (ANPDF)

Afghan Women’s Education Center celebrated 8th of March (International Women’s Day) on 24th of Hoot, 1385, in the presence of university students and other successful women.Those who attended the celebration were: Nadira Nezar, In charge of Gender and Human rights at ANCOP, Brigade number 6; Sara Bahai, taxi driver in Balkh province, Mahsoma Jami, Zinda Jan district’s Women Council Director; Lina Shafaq, Director for Life Development Skills Center in Herat; Shakila IbrahimKhil,a Journalist; and Saeeda Sadat,a Sportswoman from Kabul. At the end of the event, appreciation letters were distributed to the mentioned successful women

AWEC Partners with AWN and Mina’s List to Prepare Afghan Women for Parliamentary Elections.

Afghan Women’s Educational Center (AWEC), partnered with the Afghan Women’s Network (AWN), and US-based organization Mina’s List, to prepare aspiring womencandidates forthe next parliamentary elections, so that they are better informed and have a clear women’s rights agenda and a unified approach to influence legislation so that theinterests of women are not undermined.

First Day of AWEC’s Campaign to Eliminate Violence against Women

AWEC launched its 10-day campaign to raise awareness about Violence against women, and to call for its elimination by an in-house event.  We believe that to make any social change we must begin from home.
