AWEC joined thousands of Afghan women, in demonstrations in Kabul, Balkh, Nangarhar, Logar, Wardak, Hirat, Faryab, Ghor, and Paktiya provinces to join the global movement – One Billion Rise.  The events highlighted the solidarity of Afghan women with women all over the world in the fight to eliminate violence against women in the world.
