Project Goal / Objective:

  • The overall objectives of this project is to contribute to the improved realization of women`s basic rights, needs & interests in Afghanistan
  • To increase capacity of women-led CSOs in promoting & advocating for building an enabling environment for marginalized women to claim their basic rights

  • Capacity building for National level NGOs & CBOs.
  • Sensitization on women`s rights

Expected Results

  • Target (women-led & other) CSOs understand women`s social, political & economic rights & are able to advocate for promoting government ownership & obtain support of these entitlements particularly in health & education
  • Strengthening networks of local governance structures & CSOs to promote equitable access of women to health care, education, employment, income, economic resources & justice… ensuring integration of issues to national level policy influencing opportunities
  • Increasing awareness of women rights in the light of cultural & religious beliefs, amongst all stakeholders including CSOs, community leaders, Shuras (both male & female) & religious leaders to promote its implementation in their areas of work
